Our Goals and Commitment – The privacy of our clients is important to OFIS as it carries out its work in the public arena. This policy is our commitment to the protection of privacy and any personal information that is disclosed to us.

Collection and Use of School Information – OFIS collects school information as determined in our annual membership process. This information is used to fill our online directories, send our e-news, send membership materials and to occasionally correspond with them about special events or new information about OFIS.

Disclosure of School Information – OFIS does not sell or give information about our clients anyone outside of our endorsed sponsors (which can be found on this website). Your school information is a vital part of OFIS’ ongoing relationship with you. OFIS will only disclose school information under the following circumstances:

  • To our board members and staff, in order that they may complete services offered by OFIS
  • If the disclosure is required or permitted by law; or
  • If you request or consent to the disclosure

Privacy Officer – OFIS has a database that is monitored by one staff member. All requests for information and access to the database are first cleared with this staff member. This staff member is OFIS’ Privacy Officer.

Questions and Concerns – OFIS is committed to continuous improvements and values the input of its members. OFIS welcomes comments and suggestions on the improvement of our Privacy Policy. OFIS strives to ensure that the information collected, used and disclosed is accurate and up-to-date.
