Coding for the K-8 Classroom

Be prepared to teach the new Ontario coding curriculum to K-8 students.

No prior coding experience is required. This course is designed to meet the Ministry of Education’s new curriculum requirements and will give participants the building blocks to provide coding instruction that is appropriate for any grade and programming language. Completion of this course will provide the participant with a complete unit that also draws from the STEAM PBL experiential realm. Every module has practical exercises and the entire course finishes with a student-ready project.

Registration is limited; fees include all course materials and Makey-Makey kit, and light meals (breakfast, lunch and refreshments).
